Position Overview

Blueprint Manufacturing Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller & Coder to support medical billing, coding, claims processing, and reimbursement activities. The successful candidate will review medical documentation, assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes, process insurance claims, and help resolve billing discrepancies.

This role requires knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare billing procedures, coding standards, and patient information  confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and capable of managing deadlines independently in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records and clinical documentation for billing accuracy.
• Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance companies and other payers.
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage information when required.
• Investigate rejected and denied claims and assist with corrections and resubmissions.
• Record payments, adjustments, and billing transactions accurately.
• Monitor outstanding claims and follow up on unpaid balances.
• Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with relevant providers, insurers, and internal team members to resolve billing issues.
• Protect confidential information and comply with applicable HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Stay informed about changes to coding standards and payer billing requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management is preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology, insurance claims, and reimbursement procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid claims.
• Familiarity with electronic claims submission and denial management.
• Knowledge of healthcare documentation and revenue cycle workflows.

Work Environment

This is a remote position, with responsibilities performed from an approved home office. Employees must maintain a reliable internet connection, a secure workspace, and appropriate safeguards for confidential information.
