Position Overview
Blueprint Manufacturing Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller & Coder to support medical billing, coding, claims processing, and reimbursement activities. The successful candidate will review medical documentation, assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes, process insurance claims, and help resolve billing discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records and clinical documentation for billing accuracy.
- Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance companies and other payers.
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage information when required.
- Record payments, adjustments, and billing transactions accurately.
- Monitor outstanding claims and follow up on unpaid balances.
- Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with relevant providers, insurers, and internal team members to resolve billing issues.
- Protect confidential information and comply with applicable HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information responsibly.
