What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forensic Consultant position at Blueprint Hires?
A multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering and construction firm is seeking a Forensic Consultant and play a vital role in supporting Project Managers and Principals with construction investigations and inspections at their Palo Alto, CA office.
Your Day Includes
Reviewing design and construction documents to support investigations.
Documenting site conditions and performing both non-destructive and destructive testing.
Researching code requirements, industry standards, and manufacturer specifications.
Preparing detailed reports, field notes, and checklists of observed conditions.
Inspecting remedial construction work for conformance with technical specifications.
Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, management, mechanical, civil, architectural engineering, or related discipline (trade or military backgrounds also considered).
Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Basic understanding of commercial construction; 3 years of related experience preferred.
Comfort working outdoors up to 8 hours, including on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs.
