Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and experience working in a fast-paced business environment. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries in Sage 50.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Generate monthly financial reports for management review and decision-making.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
- Manage cash reporting processes and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Participate in weekly finance meetings to review cash requirements and other financial matters.
- Support the finance department with financial analysis, reporting, special projects, and ad hoc requests.
- Maintain accurate financial records through data entry, filing, and document management.
- Assist with administrative tasks, correspondence, and other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting required.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems; Sage 50 experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Additional Requirements
