BluePearl Pet Hospital in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our thriving Surgery Team!
Pay: $19.50 - $38.50 / hour
This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

- Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.00/hr. Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.00/hr. Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $4.50/hr. Shift Differential
- Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
- Utilize your ability to place peripheral intravenous catheter in cephalic vein.
- Perform physical exam; accurately counts heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
- Understand normal vital parameters and alerts doctor when abnormal.
- Set up intravenous fluids.
- Administer subcutaneous fluids.
- Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.
- Disconnect and connect patient from intravenous fluids aseptically.
- Monitor patient response to fluid therapy including signs of overload.
- Perform additional relevant job responsibilities.
