Job description:
We are looking for someone who has experience in driving or someone who has completed training in driving school. Applicants should have working knowledge of trucks, securing loads, E-logs, and be able to do pre-check inspections and routine maintenance along with basic mechanics. Applicant must have a clean driving record, and pass background and drug screens. This is a full time position with benefits.
Chauffeur or CDL license is a requirement for driving positions.
(Local Driver) We make runs around Lafayette and maybe spanning as far as Houma. This truck only does pick-up/drop-off parts and accessories for our machine shop and is not for hire. This truck may be either a 1 ton or ¾ flat bed pickup truck. 7am work arrival with around 44 hrs per week pending workload.
(Houston Area Run) We only haul our own product to Houston and surrounding area daily. This truck is a single rear axle with a 20’ flat bed – no trailer. The truck leaves each weekday at about 3am and drives to Houston. The average day is about 7-8 stops and then return to Lafayette. This driver is usually back in Lafayette for about 3pm. We do this Monday thru Friday. You are off on the weekends. Either way this is great trucking job allowing you to be home every night with no out of town stays. Your work week would be around 54 hrs per week pending workload.
We are hiring got both driver positions. The Local route is in a smaller truck and is easier so the pay is a little less than the Houston route.
