Role Description
This is a part-time role for a Blood Draw Technician (Blood Draw Tech), located in the Metro-Atlanta. The Blood Draw Technician will be responsible for performing venipunctures, labeling and securing blood/urine evidence. The technician will interact directly with law enforcement in jails, precincts, on-scene of motor vehicle crashes and hospitals, ensuring high-quality customer service while maintaining the confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Additional responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment and supplies and adhering to relevant medical and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Venipuncture and related Blood Draw techniques
- Understanding of Medical Terminology
- Strong Customer Service skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict procedures
- High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in phlebotomy, AEMT, Paramedic, or related field are preferred
- Previous experience in a medical or laboratory setting is a plus
