Are you already caring for a family member at home? You may be able to get paid for the care you’re giving.

Bluelake Homecare is a Michigan in-home personal care agency. We hire family members and loved ones as paid caregivers for people enrolled in Michigan Medicaid in-home care programs. You care for your loved one, and we handle the paperwork, payroll, training, and support.

This position is for people caring for a specific family member, friend or loved one. Your family member must be receiving or eligible for Michigan Medicaid, a Michigan Medicaid health plan, or a Medicare and Medicaid dual plan and need help with daily activities at home.

What You’ll Do

• Help your loved one with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Prepare meals and help with eating
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping
• Medication reminders
• Help with mobility and transfers
• Clock in and out using our mobile app (EVV)

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Currently caring for, or planning to care for, a family member or loved one in Michigan
• Your family member has Michigan Medicaid (including Medicaid health plans such as Molina, or Aetna Better Health), or a Medicare and Medicaid dual plan (such as Humana or Aetna dual special needs plans), or is applying
• Pass a background check
• Valid photo ID and Social Security card
• Smartphone for clocking in and out
  
  
  

Who is not eligible: Spouses caring for a spouse, and parents caring for their own minor child, are generally not eligible under Michigan Medicaid personal care rules.
