Job Summary
We are seeking a Level 1 Medication Aide/Personal Care Attendant to work morning shifts from 7 am to 11 am, Monday through Friday. We are a family owned and managed care facility that provide intentional and attentive care to seniors in a home like setting. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate personal care and medication administration to residents. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Administer medications following proper protocols and document all medication activities accurately.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, as ordered and needed.
- Plan, prepare, and serve home style meal for residents.
- Provide routine housekeeping and laundry services as assigned.
- Interact with residents on a personal level with activities and social interaction.
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing procedures including vital signs monitoring and medication administration
- Familiarity with paper medical documentation
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia care is a plus
- Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion, patience, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere strictly to safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines
- Basic understanding of medical records management and familiarity with medical office procedures is beneficial
