What are the responsibilities and job description for the Saw blade sharpening / Machine operator position at Bluegrass Saw & Tool Inc?
Bluegrass Saw & Tool is a small, family owned and operated business, where every employee is extremely valued! Here, we service and manufacture cutting tools, mainly carbide tipped saw blades. We pick up and deliver to our customers, all over PA, and into NY and WV. Once the saws enter our shop, we are in charge of inspecting them for repairs and sharpening, then, to be returned the following week. Our schedule is very time sensitive.
This position is starting at PART TIME. Hours will be Wednesday and Thursday, 6am - 3:30pm, with the option of adding more days/hours. If hired for this position, the starting pay is $14 per hour. We will train, but general knowledge is appreciated.
Some things to consider before applying. This is a dusty, dirty, noisy shop. We do provide ear protection, eye protection, masks, gloves, etc. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Ideal candidate will be open to learning ALL job duties in the shop, have dependable transportation, and be reliable.
