- Assist dentists with various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments using chairside assisting techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring aseptic technique is maintained throughout patient care.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging to support accurate diagnoses while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical coding, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards using EMR system Dentrix.
- Support front desk operations
- Monitor vital signs and assist with medical assessments when necessary
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure the clinic adheres to all OSHA standards to keep both patients and staff safe.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools confidently.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to pediatric patients and their families.
- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures along with specialized areas such as prosthodontics or endodontics is desirable.
