The tasks will include leading strategic technical engagements with key enterprise clients across the U.S. and Canada, where you will manage complex roadmap discussions in cryogenics and measurement infrastructure while aligning Bluefors solutions to evolving customer needs. You will develop and execute account technology strategies that connect customer objectives with Bluefors’ business goals, taking ownership of opportunity creation and long-term sales development. In this role, you will establish and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships in close collaboration with the account team, actively driving collaboration initiatives within key accounts. You will also work closely with internal sales and technical teams to ensure seamless and high-quality customer experience. Acting as the customer advocate, you will resolve issues efficiently, coordinate cross-functional resources, and contribute to the development of best practices that support sustained technical partnerships. You will also monitor market and competitor trends to identify new business opportunities and help influence strategic direction, along with performing additional duties as assigned.
We are looking for a person with a minimum MSc-level degree in applied or technical physics, or equivalent strong experience in quantum computing or a closely related technical field. You should bring proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, ideally within scientific instrumentation or advanced technology environments. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to clearly translate complex technical concepts into customer value. We expect strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You must be willing to travel as needed and have excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
We also appreciate candidates who have a background in scientific research or R&D, as well as documented experience in technical sales of scientific instrumentation. Familiarity with cryogenic systems, particularly dilution refrigerators, is highly valued. A positive, hands-on attitude and strong execution skills will help you succeed and stand out in this role. This job operates in and out of a professional office environment. This position will have work that may be in an office or manufacturing setting. This position interacts with both internal and external customers in a professional, courteous manner, while keeping information confidential as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and copiers. While in the manufacturing environment, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; heat; cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. Mandatory PPE’s must be worn as required.
