This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Bluefield State University, located in Dayton, OH. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for assisting in the care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Daily tasks include evaluating injuries, developing treatment programs, implementing strength and conditioning plans, assisting with injury prevention strategies, and collaborating with coaches and athletes to ensure optimal performance and safety. The successful candidate will also maintain detailed injury records and adhere to university and NCAA health protocols.
- Experience in Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation strategies
- Proficiency in Athletic Training, including evaluation and treatment of athletes
- Knowledge and experience in Strength & Conditioning practices
- Expertise in developing and implementing injury Prevention programs
- Strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to athlete well-being
- Must hold a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred
- Current certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) is required
- CPR and First Aid certification are required
- Prior experience working in a collegiate athletics setting is a plus
