Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our custom apparel production team. This is a hands-on position that plays a critical role in keeping our facility and production equipment clean, maintained, and operating efficiently.

This job requires someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Much of your shift will involve cleaning equipment, filters, and drains; performing preventive maintenance; and completing repairs as needed.

This is a 100% on-site position based in Bowling Green, KY.

At the beginning of each shift, you'll receive a checklist of assigned tasks. From there, you'll work independently throughout the evening, managing your time and completing the work with minimal supervision. Our maintenance manager works days, so from 2:00 PM on, you're the only maintenance presence in the building, performing PM and repairs while operations keep running around you, and the only one who can catch a problem before it becomes tomorrow morning's downtime.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of the shift without a supervisor in the room to stay on task, working PM and repairs alongside an active production team. We are looking for someone who sees a checklist as the floor, not the ceiling; someone who finishes it and then goes looking for what's next.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily cleaning of equipment, filters, and facility drains.
• Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, including greasing, oiling, and routine inspections.
• Walk the floor and catch problems early, before they turn into downtime for first shift
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on production equipment with no one to hand it off to until morning.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Keep the facility and equipment clean and up to safety standards
• Log what happened on your shift clearly enough that first shift can pick up exactly where you left off
• Report concerns and recommend improvements to the PM process itself, not just execute it as written

THE EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

• Basic knowledge of common hand and power tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a real interest in building that skill over years, not months
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems as they come up
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding, hands-dirty environment; able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods

Preferred, not required. We'll train you on the ins and outs of our specific equipment.

• Experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with Barudan embroidery machines or M&R screen printing equipment
• Forklift or boom lift certification/experience
• Prior manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial background

JOB SPECIFICS

• Reports to: Maintenance Manager
• Pay: Starting at $18–24/hr, based on experience, with room to grow as you build toward knowing how to troubleshoot and resolve issues with our specific production equipment
