Program Overview:

MCOT services are community-based and available 24 hours per day, every day of the year. Under the direction of the MCOT Program Manager, the MCOT Supervisor oversees day-to-day team and program operations, including referral management, triage of assessments, and coordination of timely crisis response services. The Supervisor ensures the team utilizes the most effective, least restrictive, and evidence-based interventions until the crisis is resolved or the individual is transitioned to a more clinically appropriate level of care.

Our Vision is Healthy and Fulfilled Lives, and MCOT plays a critical role in providing expedited access to care during urgent and emergent behavioral health situations. As an essential mobile crisis provider, MCOT serves children, adolescents, and adults experiencing crises related to behavioral health, substance use, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or co-occurring needs. The MCOT Supervisor provides direct supervision, leadership, and support to the clinical team while maintaining active involvement in crisis response as needed.

Our Mission is to continuously improve the health and independence of the persons we serve. In addition to immediate crisis intervention, MCOT provides follow-up services aimed at stabilization and relapse prevention. Services may include case management, individual and group skills training, Person-Centered Recovery Planning, supported housing and employment, discharge planning, and linkage to ongoing care.

Critical Impact:

The MCOT Supervisor ensures a coordinated and timely response to urgent and emergent crisis needs. This role includes daily oversight of staff activities, prioritization of work assignments, and provision of clinical consultation to support high-quality care delivery. The Supervisor may also complete face-to-face crisis and clinical assessments as needed to support team capacity and service demands.

Using advanced skills in de-escalation, crisis intervention and prevention, and safety planning, the MCOT team works collaboratively with individuals, families, and community partners to assess needs and determine appropriate next steps. This position requires a strong working knowledge of person-centered, trauma-informed care principles and best practices for individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, intellectual and developmental, and co-occurring crises.

The MCOT Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in fostering effective collaboration with law enforcement, medical providers, schools, families, and social service agencies, while ensuring culturally responsive and equitable service delivery across diverse populations.
