Our Mission is to continuously improve the health and independence of the persons we serve, and the Diversion Center provides critical access to care to stabilize a crisis while diverting individuals from jail, emergency rooms, and hospitalization. Under the clinical leadership of the Director of Residential Nursing and the administrative leadership of the Director of Crisis Services, this leader will assist with the clinical supervision, education, direction, and oversight to Registered Nurses (RNs) within the residential programs.

The residential facilities provide an option for expedited access to immediate behavioral health treatment, with a focus on pre-arrest jail diversion and recidivism reduction. The Residential Nurse Manager oversees how we deliver care to the people we serve, how we develop and support our talented team, and how we collaborate with our community partners. Additionally, the Residential Nurse Manager collaborates with the unit Program Managers on communication with our staff and contractors on strategy for maintaining essential operations, including during emergencies and disasters.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years experience in residential or inpatient nursing.
Graduatio from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or hold an unencumbered multi-state nursing license.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary professional team.
Demonstrated computer literacy with working knowledge of Windows/MS Office/TEAMS/Outlook 365 applications.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in behavioral healthcare setting.
Must have a valid Texas drivers license and maintain approved drivers status throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish or ASL.
One year of administrative nursing experience in Behavioral Health related field, and/or five cumulative years of nursing experience in multiple areas of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities, Primary Care, Medical Surgical, Substance Use, Withdrawal Management and/or Crisis Services.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the residential program operations in alignment with the Centers mission, values, policy, and procedures.
- Ensures nursing services are provided timely and in the most clinically appropriate setting
- Oversight of unit infection control processes, internal and external reviews (audits) of nursing and medical programs as assigned by the DRN for the purposes of quality measurement and improvement.
- Provide consistent opportunity for 360 degree feedback to direct reports, including individualized support, goal setting, and coaching
- Builds relationships with internal and external colleagues, collaborating across programs, seeking and offering input towards shared goals and objectives
- Oversees the unit flow, medication inventory, testing, and supplies to standards
- Develop and pilot ideas that improve the system of care and increase efficiency and efficacy for continuous quality improvement
- Effectively lead change within the team
- Establish clear direction for the program, in alignment with local, state, and federal contracts and standards of care
- Continuously seek learning opportunities for evidenced-based practices and intervention, identifying opportunities to apply new knowledge to residential operation
- Provide consultation, analyzing and evaluating variables through a person-centered approach to care
- Able to provide training and delegation of nursing duties

- $1.00 to 5.00/hour - Tenure with BTCS
- .75/hour - Bilingual
- $1.00 to 2.00/hour - Previous Experience at a Community Center
- $1.00/hour - PhD
- $1.00/hour - Psychiatric Certification

- $4.00/hour - Overnight shift differential after 7 pm
- $4.00/hour - Weekend shift differential
- $6.00/hour - Overnight weekend shift differential
