Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dentistry treatments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology, ensuring patient safety with proper aseptic technique.
- Manage patient records accurately within Open Dental prctice management software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear field of operation during procedures.
- Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries as a dental receptionist, and maintaining medical documentation.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Familiarity with dental terminology related to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
