The Role
BlueBonnet Home Health is seeking an experienced, licensed CNA for a dedicated private-duty placement with a client living with Lewy Body dementia. You will be one of two caregivers sharing this client's care, which means continuity, familiarity, and the ability to truly make a difference.
Schedule
- 14 hours/day, 2-3 days per week, 1 week/month (your assigned days)
- Start date: August, 09, 2025
- Paid 2-hour orientation prior to first shift
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers
- Manage behavioral symptoms with patience and de-escalation
- Monitor and document changes in cognition, mobility, and behavior
- Maintain a calm, structured environment that minimizes Lewy Body-related agitation and hallucinations
- Communicate clearly with the coordinating family member and agency after each shift
What We Require
- Active Texas CNA license required, no exceptions
- Ability to manage the physical demands of a 14-hour shift
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Preferred: Hands-on dementia caregiving experience, preferably Lewy Body, Parkinson's dementia, or Alzheimer's with behavioral symptoms
