Our Store Managers are the primary point of contact supporting both team members and tenants within their respective location. They are expected to be team players, leading by example while coaching others, with outstanding customer service skills. In addition operating the front desk and performing routine administrative work, the Store Manager has additional responsibilities to ensure the location operates smoothly.
Your role here at Bluebird would entail:
- Build and maintain a team environment within designated location and across the entire organization
- Manage team of Customer Service Associates in designated location (2-3) including monthly schedules, semi-annual performance evaluations, and daily duties
- Ensure the office is covered during business hours, filling in call outs as needed
- Support all training initiatives including refresher training for existing team members and assist with onboarding of new hires to ensure understanding and compliance of company polices and procedures
- Oversee sensitive assignments on a monthly basis including billing, lien of sale process, final auctions, and cash deposits
- Deliver superior customer service, to both new and existing customers, over the phone, in person, and in email correspondence; manage escalated tenant concerns
- Possess a clear understanding of facility amenities and any ongoing specials in order to assist customers with determining their storage needs; rent storage units to meet company goals
- Perform routine facility walk-throughs, both interior and exterior throughout shift to maintain and clean the facility; ensuring the property is up to brand standards
- Conduct end of month walkthrough, ensuring empty units are reflected on the floorplan and have been vacated in the system
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be a team player
- Excellent customer service skills; the ability to adapt and respond to various tenant situations
- Experience within the self-storage industry, although not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Previous management experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Proficient computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to sit, bend, twist, lift (25 lbs.), walk, etc.
