What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Contractor/Laborer position at Bluebird Remodeling?
Bluebird Remodeling is seeking a contractor with experience in various residential remodeling projects. Candidate must be able to demo bathroom down to studs and complete all tasks during the project. Most of our projects consist of bathroom, and kitchen renovations. We mainly work in Anne Arundel County with 90% of our projects in Annapolis, MD. Please only apply if you live within 30 minutes of Annapolis.
Responsibilities:
- Perform remodeling tasks such as framing, plumbing, electrical, and finish work.
- Familiar with building codes and regulations.
- Candidate ensures compliance with codes at all phases of a project.
- Collaborate with sub-contractors and homeowner.
- Capable of working on ladders, elevated surfaces, and tight spaces.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
- Candidate expected to have their own tools such as: hand tools, cordless tools, and saw.
- Flooring installation experience such as hardwood, LVP, and ceramics.
- Experience with all steps of drywall finishing, from hanging to sanding.
- Painting walls, and trim.
Experience:
- 2-5 years residential renovation projects
- Proficient in carpentry and construction techniques
- Shower construction experience with Schluter products.
- Proven experience with tile laying in shower and floor applications.
- Excellent finish carpentry skills
- Drywall and painting
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Work references.
Additional pay for seasoned and experienced individuals with 5-10 years of experience.
