Responsibilities
• Administer intravenous (IV) infusions, medications, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and review of medical histories.
• Educate patients and caregivers on infusion procedures, medication management, and safety protocols to promote adherence and understanding.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Monitor for adverse reactions or complications during treatments, responding promptly with appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, medication adjustments, and ongoing care needs.
• Ensure aseptic techniques and infection control practices are strictly followed to maintain patient safety.
Requirements
• Valid RN nursing license in good standing with TN state licensing board.
• Minimum (1) year documented experience in home Infusion required with: Infusions both IV and Injectables. Experience with peripheral lines, PICC,/central lines, port access and basic lab draw required.
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), IV infusion techniques, and infection control are required; additional certifications such as wound care or dialysis are a plus.
• Critical care experience or ICU background highly preferred; experience in hospital medicine or emergency medicine is advantageous.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Reliable car/auto insurance. Pass Background and drug screen.
