Duties
- Operate laundry equipment to ensure proper cleaning of clothes
- Handle drop off laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding and bagging
- Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport laundry loads safely and efficiently around the facility
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all manual handling tasks, heavy lifting, and operation of machinery to prevent accidents
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly using laundry detergents, cleaning agents, and disinfectants
- Support customer service efforts by promptly addressing customers laundry needs ensuring timely completion of services and providing a good customer experience
Skills
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and laundry procedures to ensure optimal garment care and sanitation
- Ability to handle heavy loads safely using proper manual handling techniques and push carts
- Familiarity with laundry detergents, textile cleaning chemicals, and safety standards related to their use
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, or adjusting machine settings as needed
- Excellent attention to detail for sorting, inspecting garments for stains or damage, and ensuring quality control
- Adherence to safety protocols in all aspects of laundry operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Good customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support guest satisfaction when applicable
