Scale House Operator

Specific Responsibilities:

· Ensure the scale is opened and closed by official schedule. Must be able to scale out trucks in atimely fashion.

· Ensure tare weights are updated in the system every 30 days.

· Reconcile COD sales at the end of each day and maintain accurate records.

· Maintain and keep track of any manual tickets if the system goes down. Get tickets entered in the system 24 hours after the system is back up. Make sure that the ticket continuity is maintained and signed tickets are kept.

· Maintain good working relationships with haulers.

· Always ensure a safe work environment for self and others.

· Communicate effectively and timely with sales staff.

· Dispatching FOB trucks.

· Effectively maintain files, paying attention to detail.

· Preparing daily, monthly and special reports as necessary.

Required Skills:

· Strong customer service skills & communication skills

· Good computer skills & can perform basic math computations.

· Knowledge of products, along with industry terminology.

· Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and function effectively in a busy environment.

· Strong work ethic

· Safety oriented, punctual and reliable

· Must be able to pass pre-employment physical/drug screen/background check.

· Be able to lift 25 lbs or less

Qualification Profile:

Education & Work Experience:

· A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prefer at least one year of experience in the aggregates industry or similar heavy industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
