Blue Water Boats (Cape May Court House, NJ) is looking for an entry level marine technician who will be primarily responsible for new boat prep & rigging/installing new outboard motors. This position is a great opportunity for a newer mechanic looking for growth opportunities. OEM training will be provided.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- New boat prep (startup, cleaning, prep for delivery)
- Mounting and rigging of new outboards (Suzuki & Yamaha)
- Installation of accessories (trolling motors, electronics, etc)
- Basic outboard maintenance & repairs under supervision of service mgr.
- Use computer diagnostic tools & management software (Lightspeed)
- Inventory control of materials used for jobs
- Keeping the work area clean and presentable daily
- Operation of Yard Equipment
- Taking classes or courses as needed to advance your technical skills
- 8 hour shift, M-F, Some Saturdays & Overtime as needed in prime season
Requirements
- English
- Valid NJ Drivers License
- Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and climb ladders
- At least 1yr experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
- Experience with yard equipment (truck/trailer, forklift) perferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
