Custodian Part-time - Weekend - $15/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and diligent Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our facility. Your attention to detail and commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness will contribute to providing a safe and pleasant environment for our employees and visitors. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

The shifts available are 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday and Noon to 8pm Saturday and Sunday

Starting rate: $15.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, and restock supplies as needed.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
• Clean and maintain basketball courts by sweeping, mopping, and spot-cleaning surfaces to ensure a safe, debris-free, and visually appealing playing area.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common areas, such as hallways, stairwells, and break rooms.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure environment for all occupants.
• Assist with setting up rooms for meetings, conferences, and events, including arranging furniture and equipment.
• Respond to immediate cleaning needs or spills promptly to prevent accidents and maintain a hazard-free environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members and maintain effective communication to ensure a coordinated approach to facility maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a background check
