Overview
We are seeking an exceptional, passionate and experienced Dance Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching various dance styles, including ballet and hip hop to very young dancers (from 2-6yrs), and possess the ability to inspire students of all ages. We are a non-competitive, recreational studio for 1.5yr-12yrs. Candidates with experience in childhood development, early childhood education, or special education are encouraged to apply. A commitment to classroom management, behavior management, and lesson planning is essential for success in this position.
Skills
- Proven experience with teaching dance, including ballet and hip hop styles to youngest of dancers
- Strong curriculum development and lesson planning abilities
- Willingness to learn and implement aspects of our studio curriculum
- Excellent classroom management skills with experience working with children
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for special education or early childhood settings
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs
- Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom experience a plus
- Effective communication skills for engaging both students and parents
