Employment Type: Part-Time Shift Hours: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday | 9:00 PM – 2:30 AM (16.5 hours/week) Position
Overview We are looking for a professional, reliable Level 3 Commissioned Security Officer to join our night venue team. In this role, you will act as the first line of defense at the front entrance and maintain a safe, welcoming, and high-energy environment inside the bar.
Key Responsibilities ID & Access Control: Thoroughly verify guest IDs at the door to enforce age requirements (21 ) and identify altered or fraudulent identification. Entry Management:
Manage guest entry, monitor capacity limits, and enforce dress code or venue door policies. Patrol & Visual Presence: Maintain an active, visible security presence throughout the establishment to deter disruptions.
Conflict De-Escalation & Ejection: Quickly identify escalating situations, use verbal de-escalation tactics, and safely remove unruly or overly intoxicated individuals following Texas security regulations and venue guidelines. Staff & Guest Safety:
Assist bartending and floor staff with crowd control, emergency response, and securing the premises at closing.
Qualifications & Requirements Licensing: Active Texas Level 3 (Commissioned Security Officer) license in good standing with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Private Security Program.
Gear: Armed security gear and uniform meeting Texas Level 3 standards.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of security, bouncer, or door management experience in a nightlife, bar, or event venue setting preferred.
ID Verification: Demonstrated expertise in identifying counterfeit, altered, or expired state IDs and passports. Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and maintain physical vigilance for the entirety of the 5.5-hour night shift. Communication: Strong verbal de-escalation skills and a professional demeanor under pressure.
Schedule Friday: 9:00 PM – 2:30 AM Saturday: 9:00 PM – 2:30 AM Sunday: 9:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Pay: $20.00 per hour
