Come join our growing team!! Blue Star Psychology & Consulting is a rewarding, thriving practice currently booking 3-4 months out for testing services for adult clients. We are excited to have new opportunities for a full-time PSYCHOMETRIST testing with adult and older adult populations!
About us: Our practice offers neuropsychological assessment and counseling services to clients experiencing chronic medical and/or neurological issues including brain or spinal cord injury, stroke, cancer, seizure disorder, MS, Parkinson’s, dementia, diabetes, and related issues. We engage with and sponsor local community organizations like the Dallas Area Parkinson’s Foundation and The Dallas chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and continue to grow our community involvement. We also foster growth in up and coming professionals with practicum training for doctoral level students.

Tasks include:
- Provides neuropsychological and psychological testing, paper and computer-based administrations, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
- Evaluates and responds to patient’s needs during evaluation; manages patient behavior and controls testing environment to ensure accuracy of performance.
- Documents behavioral observations of patients during testing.
- Administers and scores neuropsychological and psychological tests as appropriate based on the administration manual for each testing tool.
- Uploads scored test results into patient electronic health record at the conclusion of each testing session.
- Writes non-interpretive aspects of the report according to clinician template (i.e., behavioral observations, tests administered, test results, appendices with scores/graphs).
- Assists psychologist with ordering of test forms/protocols and organizes testing materials.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient records/testing results/background history.
- Attend monthly team meetings and didactics.
Pay:
Starting at $25.00/hour, rate is negotiable depending on level of experience. Benefits are available to full-time employees.

Minimum qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology, statistics, mathematics, education, or a related field.
- Graduate coursework and/or prior hands-on experience in psychological testing is REQUIRED.
