Position Summary: This position is a seasonal position that is responsible to operate a flatbed/reefer truck to transport fruit bins from one location to another.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead by example our Blue Star Vision, Mission, and Values
- Be kind and offer solutions
- The individual is responsible to fuel, wash and keep the interior and exterior of their assigned truck clean
- They must monitor road conditions, watch for traffic congestion, and follow all applicable traffic laws
- They must inspect their truck and trailer at the beginning and end of each day and record any defects
- They must report any mechanical problems to the mechanic shop foreman
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Valid CDL with a Doubles Endorsement
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, including reading, writing and verbal communication.
- Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Education and Experience:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience driving a CDL vehicle
Expected Hours of Work:
Core business hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. These workdays and hours may vary depending on production/hauling requirements. Overtime hours and weekends may be needed at times to accommodate production/hauling requirements.
