Blue Spruce Health is a Vermont Direct Primary Care practice. We’re hiring an NP based in Newport who also wants a hand in something new.
In DPC, patients pay a membership instead of routing everything through insurance. No coding, no prior authorizations, no documenting for a billing department. Panels are a fraction of the usual size and visits end when the conversation does. Vermont is a full practice authority state, and we mean it — you’ll practice at the top of your license with physician collaboration when you want it, not permission-seeking when you don’t.
The part that isn’t a normal NP job: we’re building telehealth-enabled clinics inside Vermont employers — a ski resort, a manufacturer, more to come. Some of your week would be on site at those locations doing occupational health and primary care, some in Newport, some connecting to patients across all our sites by video. If the same four walls every day has never appealed to you, this is a different shape of work.
Occupational health experience is welcome but not required — we’ll train and certify you.
Compensation: $128,000–$152,000 base at full time, prorated for part-time, plus panel growth bonus and a stipend for employer-site coverage. Benefits, malpractice, CME, and licensure covered.
Living here: Newport sits on Lake Memphremagog in the Northeast Kingdom. Jay Peak is twenty minutes away, Kingdom Trails under an hour, and housing costs a fraction of Chittenden County. It’s rural and it’s real — that’s the appeal or it isn’t.
Who we’re looking for: FNP or AGNP, licensed or eligible in Vermont. Comfortable with autonomy and with a role that’s still taking shape.
