- Collaborates with Director of Early Childhood for the purpose of implementing and/or maintaining early childhood services and programs.
- Compiles written reports and maintains records as directed from a variety of sources (e.g. Head Start, MDHSS, BSSD, etc.) for the purpose of implementing policies and procedures and meeting the requirements as required by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Licensing Units.
- Counsels parents on matters related to education and parent/child interactions for the purpose of enhancing the program acceptance and improving children education.
- Evaluates staff effectiveness as directed (e.g. recommend to hire, counseling, training, supervising, providing professional development opportunities, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining necessary staffing, enhancing productivity of staff, and ensuring necessary department/program outcomes are achieved.
- Facilitates meetings (e.g. financial procedures, regulatory requirements, interdepartmental needs,, curriculum, student support and discipline, model quality early learning teaching and facilitating, etc.) for the purpose of identifying issues, developing recommendations, supporting other staff, and serving as a District representative.
- Monitors budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed.
- Coordinates early learning program operations as directed; the maintenance of services and the implementation of new programs and/or processes (e.g. manages students, plans activities, documents attendance and discipline problems, supervises playground activities, purchases supplies, etc.) for the purpose of providing services within established timeframe and in compliance with related requirements.
- Plans and participates in and/or makes oral reports in a variety of settings as directed (e.g. workshops, school board, inter and intra district committees, community and public agencies, seminars, conferences, etc.) for the purpose of recommending policy changes, and conveying and gathering information regarding a wide variety of subjects required to carry out their administrative responsibilities.
- Prepares a wide variety of often complex materials for the Director of Early Childhood (e.g. plans, budgets, grant proposals, funding requests, reports, analyses, recommendations, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, providing audit references, making presentations, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions.
- Presents information on a variety of topics related to administrative responsibilities (e.g. financial information, overviews of early learning programs/services, policies, and procedures, etc.) for the purpose of providing general information, training others, implementing actions, etc.
- Researches a variety of topics (e.g. grants, early learning instructional pedagogy, etc.) for the purpose of being knowledgeable on trends and changes and/or making recommendations.
- Responds to inquiries of parents, staff, district personnel, other professional organizations, etc. for the purpose of providing information and/or direction as may be required on program requirements, expectations, and activities.
- Serves as a resource to district personnel and as a liaison to community agencies (e.g. parents, staff, district committees, etc.) for the purpose of explaining procedures conveying and/or receiving information as needed for the planning, developing and evaluating of services related to early childhood program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

The job of Cub Care Site Manager is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for coordinating, implementing and supervising all aspects of Cub Care Early Childhood programs and services; developing and facilitating children’s developmental and educational advancement; serving as a liaison between teachers, parents and program staff; assessing child development progress; and engaging in program planning and activities.

SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications; planning and managing projects and programs; managing program financial activities; developing effective working relationships; preparing and maintaining accurate records; administering personnel policies and procedures; and coordinating with the Director of Early Childhood.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: pertinent laws, codes, policies, and/or regulations; personnel processes; grant writing; standard business practices; teaching strategies; working with families; kindergarten preparation; and stages of child development.

Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; directing other persons within a department, large work unit, and/or across several small work units; directing the use of budgeted funds within a work unit. Utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is some opportunity to impact the organization’s services.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Must be licensed or able to be licensed through MDHSS
Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Equivalency: Any combination of education, training, and/or experience which demonstrates ability to perform the required duties. A typical qualifying background would include graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree plus four years of work experience in one or more of the following: Early Childhood, Parent Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Psychology OR Sociology, or a related field. One of the years of experience is supervisory. Master degree is desirable.
