About The Role
Blue Sky Innovators is seeking an experienced IT professional to join our Technology Operations department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing, supporting, and optimizing our Hybrid Microsoft Azure environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across our hybrid cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems.
As a technical resource, you will provide advanced support for complex issues, lead infrastructure projects, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Azure-based solutions and hybrid integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and identity management.
- Support and optimize hybrid cloud environments (on-premises and Azure).
- Monitor system performance, perform troubleshooting, and resolve service desk tickets.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across Azure services, including role-based access control (RBAC), policies, and compliance standards.
- Automate cloud operations through scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates).
- Collaborate with Technology Operations teams to design, implement, and document infrastructure solutions.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on Azure and infrastructure topics.
Required:
- 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration roles.
- 3 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity management, and EUD management.
- Experience with virtualization (Proxmox/KVM, VMWare, etc.), Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
- Demonstrated experience with monitoring and management tools (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Entra ID, Log Analytics, Microsoft Intune).
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently.
- Ability to lift 50lbs in support of IT infrastructure installations.
- Understanding of one of the following compliance frameworks
- CMMC 2.0
- ISO 27001
- SOC 2 Type 2
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar certification.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience within the U.S. DOW
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and in enterprise environments.
- Secret Clearance and willingness to be submitted for Top Secret Clearance
