Information Operations/ SME, TS/SCI

Blue Sky Innovators is seeking an experienced Information Operations SME with a strong background in marketing and project management. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of expertise in planning and implementing comprehensive campaigns, including -marketing analysis, media planning, information operations, psychological operations, and deception activities. As a Blue Sky Innovator, you will work collaboratively with United States Space Force (USSF) to devise and implement unique solutions to complex challenges related to space operations and information warfare. This role offers a select opportunity to contribute to the nation's defense and drive positive change in a rapidly evolving domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives to support USSF’s mission and objectives in the dynamic space domain.
• Campaign Planning: Lead the planning and execution of information operations campaigns, tailoring strategies to target audiences at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
• Information and Influence Operations: Leverage your expertise in information and influence operations to design and implement strategies that counter disinformation campaigns and enhance the command’s information environment.
• Program/Project Management: Oversee and manage complex projects and programs, ensuring successful execution within established timelines and budget.
• Adaptability: Thrive in a changing work environment, demonstrating creativity and rapid adaptation to evolving roles and expectations.
• Resource Management: Accomplish campaign goals with limited resources and staff, demonstrating effective resource allocation.
• Initiative: Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions, applying critical thinking and adaptability to rapidly changing circumstances.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Over 15 years of experience in special operations and project management, with a strong background in information operations and psychological operations.
• Security Clearance: Must have a Top Secret/SSBI security clearance.
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: behavioral sciences, social sciences, psychology, sociology, marketing, cultural studies or public relations.
• Masters degree desired
• Experience desired:
• The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful roles in planning, project management and influence operations, with experience in a variety of international environments. Specific highlights from the candidate’s career may include:
• Serving as an IO/MISO/Deception Planner responsible for geographically related contingency plans, including work on Theater Campaign Plans and Combatant Command OPLANs.
• Developing comprehensive and plausible scenarios for Joint and Combined Operations across multiple countries.
• Experience integrating influence efforts into Theater operations and contingency planning, including countering disinformation campaigns against US partner/allied nations.
  
  

Specialized Military Training:

• The candidate should have completed a range of specialized military training courses related to cyberspace operations, information operations, psychological operations, military deception, and operational security, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Completion of the Information Operations Professionals Course (IOPC) or completion of the following: Information Operations Integration Course (IOIC), Psychological Operations Qualification Course (POQC) or Information Operations Integration Course - Military Information Support Operations (IIC-MISO), and service component Operations Security Course (AFOC); or similar courses as approved - Preferred
• Completion of the Joint Military Deception Course or completion of one of the following: Service specific Military Deception Course or Special Operations Military Deception Course - Preferred
• Joint Planners Course and or at least 5 years’ experience on a 2-star Joint Command or Higher - Desired

Salary range for the position is $185,000 - $210,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
