General Clerk - SP

Blue Sky Innovative Solutions are seeking a Temporary General Clerk to support the Prince George's County Gubernatorial General Election. This role is responsible for packing Election supplies and light data entry.

Supervisory Responsibility

• None

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Maintains supply inventory; verifies inventory levels by checking shelves, notifies supervisor as to replacement needs or places orders as appropriate.
• Reviews incoming order forms for proper coding, quantities requested, and authorized approvals; inspects and verifies supplies received against invoice and packing slip; initiates requests for vendor corrections.
• Locates stock and delivers requested items to authorized departments.
• Performs clerical duties related to maintaining stock inventories and stockroom; may operate a computer terminal and/or personal computer.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have at least 1 year of working experience as a General/Office Clerk or other clerical related field
• Must provide proof you are a registered Maryland voter.
• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
• Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

CERTIFICATIONS EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America. Sponsorship will not be a part of this contract
• Must successfully complete a Blue Sky and customer background screening
• Must be a registered voter in Maryland
