Duties

- Foster a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes creativity, experimentation, and self-expression through active engagement.
- Assess student progress regularly through projects, presentations, and standardized evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Integrate learning technology tools to enhance artistic instruction and facilitate interactive lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects that connect art with other subjects like literacy, math, or social studies.
- Mentor students by offering guidance on portfolio development, participation in art competitions, and personal artistic growth.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in classroom management within an educational setting; prior private school or Montessori experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development across various art disciplines and familiarity with learning technology tools.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs; knowledge of early childhood education principles is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative lesson plans aligned with educational standards and standardized testing requirements.
- Skills in proofreading, writing, and editing instructional materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Background in teaching physical education or integrating movement into art activities is advantageous.
- Ability to mentor students in literacy education, math integration, or library services related to arts education.
