Direct Care Staff/Caregiver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities that reside in their own home. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, reliability, and work well with clients.

Duties:

- Assist individuals with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Implement behavior management strategies to support individuals' emotional and social well-being
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Accompany individuals to appointments or outings
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in long-term care, caregiving, or a related field
- Proficiency in medication administration and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of social work or nursing home practices is a plus

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Medication Administration Certification required. (Paid for upon Hiring)
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Current and valid car insurance.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check. (Paid for upon hiring)
• CPR and First Aid certification required. (Paid for upon hiring)
