Our client, an established manufacturing organization, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to strengthen quality performance, develop frontline talent, and help drive operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on quality professional who enjoys being close to production, solving problems, and making a measurable impact on manufacturing operations.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of plant-level quality initiatives, lead a small team, and partner directly with operations leadership. The ideal candidate brings practical manufacturing quality experience, proven leadership skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. With a stable weekday schedule, potential flexibility on Fridays, and the opportunity to influence quality practices across production shifts, this role offers an attractive balance of leadership, technical responsibility, and professional growth.

This Role Offers:

  • Competitive compensation with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
  • Direct access to plant leadership and meaningful influence over quality decisions.
  • Opportunity to lead and develop a small team supporting multiple production shifts.
  • Hands-on involvement in quality improvement, operational problem-solving, and process development.
  • Potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates, subject to approval.

Focus:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing quality activities, ensuring production processes and finished products consistently meet established requirements.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to quality technicians supporting day and night operations.
  • Strengthen plant quality procedures, inspection practices, and documentation systems to improve consistency and accountability.
  • Investigate production defects, identify underlying causes, and coordinate corrective actions that prevent recurring issues.
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and operations personnel to resolve quality concerns and improve production performance.
  • Coordinate quality reviews, internal assessments, and compliance documentation to support operational readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce defects, improve manufacturing efficiency, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Skill Set:

  • 4 years’ experience in manufacturing quality assurance, quality engineering, or plant-level quality management.
  • Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or leading employees in a production or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of quality control methods, defect investigation, corrective actions, and manufacturing process improvement.
  • Ability to maintain quality records, develop practical procedures, and support effective quality management practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across production teams and management.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred; substantial relevant manufacturing experience may be considered.
  • Experience with manufacturing quality systems and industry standards is beneficial, but specific certifications and industry backgrounds are not required.
