You will be the hands-on engineering driver who transforms customer concepts into production-ready reality, all while shaping the processes, tooling, and culture of a brand-new facility. Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into detailed manufacturing drawings, routings, and bills of materials for metallic and composite assemblies.
- Create and maintain work instructions, tooling needs, and traveler packets in alignment with AS9100-style quality systems.
- Own engineering change orders and document control actions through the ERP/MRP platform.
- Design fixtures, gauges, and jigs with 3-D CAD (Inventor/SolidWorks or similar) and coordinate fabrication.
- Provide on-the-floor support during equipment relocation, installation, and first-article production.
- Lead root-cause / corrective-action activities for nonconformities and customer returns.
- Champion lean and continuous-improvement projects that trim cycle time, cost, and waste.
- Represent the company with professionalism in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
- 4 years in precision machining or fabrication for aerospace or defense products.
- Proficiency with 3-D parametric CAD and familiarity with CAM (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.).
- Working knowledge of CMM inspection techniques and GD&T.
- Experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 regulated environments, including configuration management.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving setting.
- At ease while donning protective gear and able to handle occasional loads of up to 30 pounds on the production floor.
- Must be a U.S. person (ITAR compliance).
