Investment Associate
Location: Hybrid in Boca Raton & Fort Lauderdale
Compensation: Base salary targeted around $150–175 k, commensurate with experience.
Our client is a privately backed specialty-finance investor that provides creative capital solutions across receivable-backed and other asset-based opportunities. Reporting directly to senior investment leaders, the Investment Associate will own critical workflows—underwriting, memo creation, and deal execution—so the firm can deploy capital faster and smarter. What You’ll Do
- Turn data into decisions – build concise credit memos that clearly outline structure, risks, mitigants, and projected returns for committee approval.
- Shape deal structures – model repayment mechanics, interest schemes, and collateral packages, iterating with internal stakeholders to reach win-win terms.
- Run point on execution – draft term sheets, coordinate closing checklists, and keep multiple live deals moving in parallel without dropping details.
- Dig into the numbers – perform borrower-level and pool-level analysis, build/validate cash-flow and static-pool models, and press-test assumptions with real-time data.
- Grow your toolkit – over time, support securitizations, evaluate new verticals, and help source fresh opportunities as the platform expands.
The Right Fit
- 2-6 years in buy-side credit, specialty finance, private credit, or ABL lending.
- Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills; can translate complexity into crisp recommendations.
- Clear, persuasive writer—your memos become the roadmap for investment decisions.
- Bonus points for experience with structured products, receivables analysis, or loan documentation.
