Electrical Engineer – PE Certified
Location: On Site in Nashville, TN
A rapidly growing engineering and construction organization is expanding its technical team and seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to support the planning, design, and execution of complex electrical systems for high profile infrastructure projects. What You'll Do
- Develop complete electrical construction drawing packages for design and construction projects.
- Produce electrical site layouts, one line diagrams, riser diagrams, panel schedules, conduit plans, and supporting engineering documentation.
- Perform engineering calculations, including voltage drop analysis and related electrical design evaluations.
- Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and fellow engineers to refine designs and address site specific construction challenges.
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions, gather measurements, and support project execution.
- Prepare equipment submittals, material documentation, and project closeout packages.
- Create and maintain engineering standards, reusable design details, and technical documentation.
- Support the design of electrical control systems and equipment integration for specialized applications.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure equipment selections satisfy project requirements.
- Assist with engineering improvements and continuous development of technical processes and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.
- Minimum of five years of professional electrical engineering experience.
- Experience producing electrical construction drawing packages.
- Proficiency using AutoCAD Electrical or comparable electrical design software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting commercial, industrial, government, or critical infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with electrical control systems, equipment integration, or low voltage system design.
- Experience collaborating with construction teams throughout project execution.
- Knowledge of project management or construction documentation platforms is beneficial.
