Your Role

The Health Equity team will create and maintain cross-functional and cross-sectoral partnerships to fundamentally change the health care system to a system focused on prevention; that is affordable, relevant, and equitable. The Program Manager, Principal – Cultural and Linguistic Program will report to the Senior Manager, Health Equity. In this role you will. In this role you will be responsible for oversight, monitoring and reporting on the Cultural and Linguistic Program with a primary focus on regulatory and accreditation requirements/plans.

The Program Manager, Principal, Health Equity will specifically focus on centering racial, ethnic, linguistic, sexual orientation and gender identification equity in meeting regulatory and accreditation requirements and reporting out on current data collection, communications, appeals and grievances, provider network and more.

This is a short-term, part-time role.

Working hours will be 8am-12pm, Monday-Friday. There could be some flexibility here.


Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Provide Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) communications for all relevant business units with responsibilities named in CLAS assessments and evaluations, ensuring alignment of reports across different regulators and workplans to complete requirements

  • Ensure new and planned interventions are documented and communicated to various committees including the Health Equity Oversight Committee, Quality Oversight Committee and the Board Quality Improvement Committee

  • Track current and new CLAS requirements and reporting requirements/updates

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to lead and/or inform dissemination of reports, assessments, and learnings to various audiences and committees.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Typically, it requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have deep knowledge of project management.

  • 5 or more years of program management experience, working in a data-driven community or public health role with a focus on Cultural and Linguistic Appropriate Services.

  • Knowledge of NCQA and regulatory cultural and linguistic mandates.

  • Experience utilizing population and disparity reports and assessments while meeting and exceeding NCQA and regulatory requirements.

  • Skilled in technical writing for NCQA and state and federal regulators, with the ability to communicate findings to diverse stakeholders, including leadership and member committees.

  • Knowledge of Covered California, Commercial and Medicare products.

  • Skilled in evaluating projects focused on improving CLAS Programs.

  • Excellent rapport and trust building skills across multiple populations

Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week. Employees living 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine the in-office time based on business need.
