Busser/Dishwasher at Blue Scorcher Bakery

The Blue Scorcher Bakery and Cafe, a worker-owned cooperative in Astoria, Oregon, is seeking a Busser/Dishwasher. The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and putting away all of the dishes, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room. This role is part-time at 25 hours per week. As a worker-owned cooperative, we value transparency and open communication. Successful Scorchers are reliable, work well within a team, and proactively seek and integrate feedback. We are a self-governing shop, so a broader interest in how the business runs and willingness to participate in group decision-making is a plus.

Our hourly wage starts at $15.05 per hour and increases to $16.00 per hour when you become a member of the cooperative. This role is part of our tip pool, making the effective average hourly about $25.00 in the winter and more in the summer. We also offer vision and dental insurance, paid time off, and other benefits. The currently open shifts start at 1 pm and end around 6 pm.
