What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Event Staff position at Blue Sage Cuisine?
We are currently looking for part time, weekend event/wait staff to work events in the Jacksonville /St Augustine area.
Join our amazing team and have fun while providing exceptional hospitality service at weddings, corporate and private home & office events.
JOB DUTIES:
Provide professional top-notch customer service with excellent communication skills. Assist in event and catering loading and unloading, setup and execution anticipating number of guests and customer needs as well as assist with take down and clean up at end of event/service. This will involve walking, standing, sitting, reaching, and kneeling for long periods of time as well as lifting objects of 50lbs or more. Review and understand event plan at the beginning of each service to ensure rooms, tables, and carts are set as per the customer request. Review pre-shift notes to ensure events flow smoothly. Serve food & beverages. Bus tables, work within a team.
Flexible Work schedule! Must be available evenings and weekends!
Our ideal candidate are those with strong teamwork ethic and stellar customer connection looking to supplement their income.
Customer service, Banquet Serving and/or Hospitality experience is encouraged but not required.
Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in all environments - indoors and outdoors
Availability to work weekends and evenings up to 9 hours per event
Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for full shift
Good verbal communication skills
Adhere to event dress code policy
Comfortable working with guests face to face
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must be able to work with team to unload, setup, serve and reload event trucks at each event.
