We are seeking a reliable and motivated Geotechnical Field Technician to join our construction inspection team. Responsibilities
- Observe and record daily earthwork, grading, and other construction activities.
- Inspect and monitor contractor compliance with engineering plans.
- Perform field density testing on soil and structural fill compaction.
- Sample soil and rock materials for laboratory testing (Proctor, sieve analysis).
- Classify and describe soil and rock core materials using standard visual-manual methods.
- Complete daily field reports documenting site activities and test results accurately.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Prior work experience working in the construction, earthwork, or civil engineering industry.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and a clean, safe driving record (required for traveling to various local job sites).
- Physical Ability: Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of testing equipment and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for recording field data and interacting with site contractors.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in geology, construction management, or civil engineering is a plus.
