Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
• Provide product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales and enhance customer understanding.
• Upsell related products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a helpful and non-intrusive approach.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, ensuring merchandising standards are met and stock levels are adequate.
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and replenishing inventory to support store presentation.
• Engage in basic retail math to ensure accurate cash handling, register balancing, and transaction recording at shift end.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online inquiries.
• Support team members with supervising experience by mentoring new staff or assisting in training initiatives when needed.
• Conduct product demos for customers interested in learning more about featured items or promotions.
• Contribute to a positive shopping environment through friendly communication, active listening, and effective problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems for quick and accurate checkout processing.
• Previous supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team.
• Ability to perform retail math confidently for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on clear communication and positive interactions.
