Blue River Coatings is seeking a Paint Batch Mixing Technician responsible for accurately mixing raw materials to produce paint according to established formulas. This role also includes supporting general production operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh and measure ingredients based on formulas and batch requirements
- Operate computerized, manual, and mechanical equipment for mixing, filling, unloading, labeling, packing, and storing products
- Test materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications (e.g., viscosity, gravity, acidity)
- Complete required paperwork and enter production data into computer systems to maintain accurate records
- Clean, empty, and reset equipment after each batch (multiple times per day)
- Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to read and write in English
- Basic computer skills
- Solid math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
Preferred:
- Forklift certification or experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of coatings or spray equipment
