Position: Blue River Career Programs is seeking to hire an Electrical Trades Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year with a start date of August 3, 2026.

Job Requirements:
- Valid Indiana Teaching License in Electrical OR minimum of 5,000 clock hours (2.5 years) of recent experience (within the past five years) in the electrical industry, and eligibility to obtain a Workplace Specialist License.
- Ability to qualify for dual-credit instructor credentials.
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current technologies and instructional methods relevant to the field.
- Bachelor’s degree or Federally approved Apprenticeship preferred.
- Journeyman or Master Electrical License in Indiana required.
- Must possess and maintain appropriate professional certifications and/or licenses for assigned courses and dual-credit offerings.
Job Description:
- Display a deep knowledge of the subject matter and be able to pass this knowledge on to your students which includes the basics of Electrical Trades along with advanced knowledge of the electrical trades pathway.
- Provide students with standards/skills based curriculum and training that is aligned to NLPS, leading to possible dual credit hours through IvyTech.
- Develop positive relationships with all key stakeholders while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Develop, plan, and implement curriculum and education programs in accordance with building, corporation, and state guidelines
- Establish, plan, and host program advisory board meetings as directed by CTE director.
- Adjust lessons based on differing needs of your students.
- Use effective classroom management and lab management skills and practices while conducting daily classroom and lab activities for 10th-12 grade students in a multi period format.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment that promotes student learning.
- Make modifications to lessons based on knowledge of each student’s IEP and 504 plan.
- Adhere to all BRCP governing board policies and procedures.
