Position Overview
The Team Leader (Crew Lead) is responsible for leading a field crew to complete daily services efficiently, safely, and to company quality standards. This role provides hands-on leadership while ensuring productivity, professionalism, and a positive customer experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Crew Management
- Lead and support a crew of technicians on daily job sites
- Model professionalism, reliability, and strong work habits
- Train and coach team members on procedures, safety, and quality expectations
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and on-site performance
- Address routine on-site issues and communicate larger concerns to management
Job Execution & Quality Control
- Ensure work is completed according to job scope and company standards
- Conduct pre- and post-service checks to confirm quality and completeness
- Verify required photos, checklists, and documentation are completed accurately
- Reduce callbacks by identifying and resolving issues before leaving the site
Customer Interaction
- Act as the primary on-site contact for customers when present
- Communicate clearly and professionally regarding service scope and timing
- Respond to basic customer questions or concerns in a respectful manner
- Represent the company brand appropriately at all times
Efficiency & Time Management
- Manage daily workflow to meet production goals without sacrificing quality
- Monitor labor time versus job expectations and report variances
- Communicate schedule updates, delays, or changes with the office
Safety & Equipment
- Follow and enforce company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Safely use ladders, tools, and equipment in accordance with training
- Report equipment issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and vehicles
Required Qualifications & Work Requirements
- Prior experience in a field service role; leadership experience preferred
- Ability to safely perform ladder work, including step and extension ladders
- Comfortable working at heights and performing physical job tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Availability for full-time or part-time work, typically Monday–Friday with weekend availability during peak seasons
- Willingness to comply with company substance-free workplace policy
- Successful completion of a background screening as a condition of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Ladder work experience in window cleaning, pressure washing, gutter, or exterior services
- Experience training or mentoring team members
- Familiarity with field service software such as Jobber or CompanyCam
- Strong organizational and communication skills
