In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems for both residential and commercial clients. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, heating systems, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Perform electrical diagnostics on HVAC controls and mechanical systems to identify issues quickly and accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Diagnose related plumbing and electrical problems using tools such as multimeters and other diagnostic instruments.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as motors, fans, compressors, and pumps while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed, communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding system status.
- Ensure strict compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerant handling and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a service technician working with HVAC equipment in commercial and residential settings.
- Transportation: Must have reliable personal transportation and be able to drive yourself to work every day.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge including custom fabrication or welding is a plus.
- Tools: Ability to effectively operate industry standard diagnostic tools.
- Driving: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
Compensation
- Pay: $25.00 per hour
