Small, independent Audiology & Hearing aid dispensing practice in Hendersonville, NC is looking for a Front Office Manager / Receptionist. Relaxed environment, wonderful patients.
Job description:
As Receptionist:
Answer/ return phone calls; schedule appointments; greet walk-in patients; collect / record payments for goods / services delivered; create / organize / maintain patient charts (paper charts as well as electronic charts within OMS); data entry; type office visit notes into office management system software; prepare new hearing aids / accessories for dispensing to patients; general front office/ clerical duties; patient correspondence; create / print office forms, templates, brochures; disinfecting between patient appointments and at end of day; general office cleaning.
As Office Manager:
Order supplies; pay bills; light bookkeeping; file insurance claims online via ClaimsMD; organize / maintain vendor and office files; receive / check incoming hearing aid orders and supplies; conduct hearing aid listening checks; perform minor hearing aid cleaning / troubleshooting; maintain inventory for hearing aids / parts / accessories; maintain supply of loaner hearing aids and accessories; prepare hearing aids and accessories in need of repair for shipping; some marketing.
Job requirements:
Must haves:
Detail-oriented; organized; thorough; warm and engaging personality, with patience to deal with the elderly; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong customer service skills; ability to multi-task while still maintaining accuracy; proficient computer skills (Word, Excel); comfortable working as a team or independently; willingness to learn new skills.
Would like to have:
Advanced computer skills and computer troubleshooting. Experience in medical front office would be nice, but not necessary. Knowledge of hearing aids and their operation, would be nice, but not necessary.
Hours: Flexible (30 - 40 hrs per week)

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
